Five years ago I bought an Xbox 360 to play a single game: Grand Theft Auto IV<\/em>. I ended up subsequently selling the Xbox because I didn’t like having it around: it only served as a temptation to waste time.<\/p>\n

One month ago, I bought a Playstation 3 to play a single game: Grand Theft Auto V<\/em>. I played the game for hours a day during the week-long national day holiday in China, finishing the game in 6 days. This is my review.<\/p>\n

What Makes GTA V Irresistible?<\/h2>\n

\"GTASimply put, this is the most ambitious video game ever created. It\u2019s not just a watershed event in the gaming or entertainment industries – the release of this game is a worldwide cultural event. It is the fastest selling entertainment property<\/a> of all time, generating over $1 billion in sales in 72 hours.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a fact that you might not know: the video gaming industry is much bigger than the film industry. It grosses more, employs more, and I would argue that it’s more of a precursor to what the future of entertainment looks like than any other industry. The simple reason why is because it\u2019s interactive, not passive. In Grand Theft Auto V<\/em>, you can do almost anything you can imagine.
