Mandarin Blueprint Podcast about Learning Chinese

Last week I was invited to join two friends who have a business teaching Chinese (Mandarin Blueprint) on their podcast to discuss life in China and learning the language. The conversation is just over an hour long and includes a few disparate topics:

  • What brings expats like us to China
  • Traveling across the country, and to Mongolia in particular
  • Why most expats stop learning Chinese at “ordering in restaurants”
  • Preparing for HSK and achieving the highest levels of language proficiency
  • The launch of their new Mandarin Blueprint coursework

You can download or stream the podcast from their website or mine, or view the video on Youtube.

“Electrifying China” Documentary Trailer

Earlier this year some Dutch documentarians got in touch and did some research on the underground music scene in Chengdu. This is the trailer for their film, which is being first shown at Melkweg in Amsterdam on October 21st, 2016. I am looking forward to checking it out!

If you haven't already, check out the Chengdu Underground Vibes documentary which was released just a few months ago: Chengdu Underground Vibes
